Slack AI
AI-powered search and summaries inside Slack
Slack AI adds channel summaries, thread recaps, and semantic search directly into Slack. It synthesizes conversations across channels so you never miss important decisions, even after time away.

Check your plan
AI in Slack comes with all paid Slack plans. Which features you get depends on the plan, so check the plan table in Slack's AI guide.
Summarize a channel
Open a channel or direct message, click the three dots icon at the top and choose Summarize channel or Summarize conversation. Pick an option, and the summary appears when it is ready.
Check the sources
Click the More details icon to see which messages the summary used. For a daily catch-up, click Recap in the sidebar to get a new summary every morning.
If huddle notes are missing
AI notes in huddles work for members, not guests, and not in huddles with people from other companies. To start them, click AI notes: Off in the huddle, then Start AI notes & transcription.
