Resend
Modern email API built for developers
Resend is a developer-first email API with React Email for building templates in JSX. It delivers 99.9% inbox placement and offers a clean dashboard for monitoring deliverability and engagement.
Editor rating is our overall editorial judgment of the tool, out of 5. It is not a test score and not a user-review average. Ratings have not been re-scored since the tool was listed here. The reasons are in Best for and Pros & cons below.
Requires some technical comfort with API keys, command line, or coding. If you're new to AI, start with a chat-based tool first.

Get your API key
Create a Resend account and make an API key. To send from your own address, you also need a verified domain.
Install and send a test
Install with npm install resend. Send a first email from onboarding@resend.dev to delivered@resend.dev with the subject "Hello World" and the body "It works!"
Check what comes back
A successful send returns an id for the email. A failed one returns an error with a message and a name, which tells you what went wrong.
Switch to your own sender
The onboarding@resend.dev address is only for testing. For real emails, put an address on your verified domain in the from field.
