Design system management

1

Open a design file

Open a file in Figma Design. The standalone AI tools need a paid plan and a Full seat.

2

Click Actions

Click Actions in the toolbar to open Figma's AI tools. You will see options such as First Draft, rename layers, make and edit images, and rewrite text.

3

Try a first AI task

Pick rename layers to tidy messy layer names, or First Draft to start a design from a description. Check the result before you keep it.

4

If the AI tools are missing

On a free plan or without a Full seat, the standalone AI tools are not available. The Figma agent works on all plans, but asking it to edit needs a Full seat and edit access.
