FireCrawl
Turn any website into clean LLM-ready data
FireCrawl scrapes any website and returns clean markdown or structured data optimized for LLM consumption. Its /search endpoint combines web search with content extraction in a single API call.
Editor rating is our overall editorial judgment of the tool, out of 5. It is not a test score and not a user-review average. Ratings have not been re-scored since the tool was listed here. The reasons are in Best for and Pros & cons below.
Requires some technical comfort with API keys, command line, or coding. If you're new to AI, start with a chat-based tool first.

Use cases
Feeding web content to LLMs
Competitive intelligence scraping
News aggregation pipelines
Dataset creation for fine-tuning
Get an API key
Create a free Firecrawl account and copy your API key from the API keys page. The key lets your code or AI agent use Firecrawl.
Scrape your first page
Ask Firecrawl to scrape one page, such as firecrawl.dev, with the formats markdown and html.
Read the clean result
You get the page as clean markdown, plus its HTML and details such as the title, description and status code. Markdown is plain text that AI tools read easily.
Restart your coding agent
To give a coding agent Firecrawl, run npx -y firecrawl-cli@latest init --all --browser. Then restart the agent so it finds the new skills.
